For the past three years, sixteen regional chefs competed before a live audience creating an appetizer, entrée and dessert at the Mason Dixon Master Chef Tournament. The competition is open to chefs from restaurants, foodservice, personal etc. Winners from Mason Dixon Master Chef Tournaments have been: Dennis Friedman, owner and chef at Newton’s Table, Roy “Opie” Crooks, ShooFly Diner and Neill Howell, owner of Corner Pantry.
The 4th season kick off is this June at the Inn at the Colonnade. Roland Park Place’s Executive Chef Mark Tracey and Sous Chef Shamarie James have thrown their toques into the competition. Chefs continue to compete until there is only one standing … the 2014 Mason Dixon Master Chef.
