Live From Arlington … really!

WC&R 01 1108
Even though I was in NYC this morning, I knew I had to leave IH/M&RS and return to Arlington. Tracy O'Grady and Kate Jansen were hosting the coming out party for their Women Chefs & Restaurateurs 2009 Calendar: "Crowning Cuisine: More Than Sugar and Spice" at their Willow Restaurant. The wine flowed and hors d'oeuvres based on chef recipes and specialties were passed throughout the evening.

The calendar was supported by Visa Signature.

The women were there Sunday night to celebrate the collaboration … and sign calendars for their fans.

The beautiful Calendar women include:

Beverly Bates … ici Urban Bistro at Sofitel
Barbara Black, Quanta Robinson, Jacqueline Castaldo … Black Restaurant Group
Laurie Bell … Great Falls Tea Garden
Amy Brandwein … Fyve
Heather Chittum … Hook
Tracy O'Grady, Kate Jansen, Alison Christ … Willow Restaurant
Mary Watson-DeLauder … Lansdowne Resort
Ruth Gresser … Pizzeria Paradiso
Ris Lacoste … ris
Jamie Leeds … CommonWealth Gastropub, Hank's Oyster Bar
Janis McLean … 15 ria
Bonnie Moore … L'Academie de Cuisine
Melanie Parker … Equinox
Odessa Piper
Nora Pouillon … Restaurant Nora
Susan Soorenko … Moorenko's Ice Cream Cafe
Aimee Suyehiro … Argia's

You will be able to see all of my photos in my FOTO GALLERY … but be sure to look for an upcoming DC Modern Luxury. I saw publisher Peter Abrahams with his photographer (working hard to collect pictures telling the story of the evening) and it looks you'll be seeing a special photo spread in an upcoming issue.
