Joan Hisaoka Memorial and Celebration Service

Ice_254022507

Today is the memorial and celebration service for Joan … I am in Chicago and won’t be able to make it back in time. But that doesn’t mean I can stop thinking about her — we never traveled together but we had some common experiences including Machu Picchu.

When I traveled to Iceland, I had an opportunity to see the northern lights one evening and took this foto handheld around midnight. I loved telling Joan about the experience and sharing my fotos with her.

There won’t be any show posts today or any other for that matter … this is Joan’s day … the show recap will appear tomorrow.

Here’s that wonderful eskimo proverb again:

Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love
of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know
they are happy.
